Hello. My name is Margie and I’m from Dayton, Ohio. I’ve worked in customer service, sales, marketing, and finance in various corporations and small businesses, so giving presentations and communicating with demanding clients has become second-nature.

I’m an American expat living in a small German town on the Danube River. I’ve been teaching ESL English for 14+ years in Italy, Czechia, Poland and Germany. I’d like to instill confidence in my students to communicate effectively in any situation. Therefore, I use idioms, grammar, vocabulary, videos, games, and reading specific texts that interest my student(s). The focus is comprehension and speaking in a natural manner. My intention is for each student to reach their individual goals. Most importantly, I like to have fun in class!

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy sitting in a cafe writing short stories and drinking authentic espresso. My favorite sport is basketball. My favorite food is Italian. My favorite writer is Ernest Hemingway. What about you?
